Our Mission & Purpose

At the Colorado River Surfing Association our mission is dedication to the growth of river surfing in the state of Colorado. We champion the building of new river waves, protect the environment and encourage the river surfing community through fostering good stewardship, and promoting safety of the river environment and the river surfing community.

WE TRY TO FULFILL

Our Important Values

Community

Community is the essence of river surfing. When the waves aren’t in, your community is and always will be. We choose to include not exclude. It doesn’t matter if you’re a rank beginner or super pro, you get your turn no matter who you are.

Safety

The river has a unique set of risks that can be easily mitigated through education and stewardship. We are committed to sharing our safety knowledge and experience to all within the community. Function trumps fashion.

Conservation

It is our duty to protect the health of our waterways. We vow to never take our rivers for granted or cause harm. By organizing river clean-ups and river education events we ensure the longevity of our waterways and enjoyment for future generations.
