Our Mission & Purpose
At the Colorado River Surfing Association our mission is dedication to the growth of river surfing in the state of Colorado. We champion the building of new river waves, protect the environment and encourage the river surfing community through fostering good stewardship, and promoting safety of the river environment and the river surfing community.
Our Important Values
The Pueblo Whitewater Park was built providing Colorado with its first surfable manmade feature making it the catalyst of the Colorado river park boom.
Colorado river surfing pioneer Chad Parson's formally founded the CRSA to give river surfing and its surfers a voice in Colorado as well as give back to the rivers that we surf by helping protect them by creating awareness about river safety, trash and water pollution.
The first Colorado river surfing event was the Rocky Mountain Surf Festival held in Glenwood Springs organized by Charlie McArthur.
January of 2018 the CRSA held its first board meeting and became a recognized non-profit organization.
